Amanda Mae Kornec, age 28 of Helena, passed away Monday, December 16, 2013. Amanda has left our world to go to the next. She was a sweet caring empathetic young woman who was hurting and left us far too soon.
Amanda was a good wife, daughter and friend as well as being a great partner. She was born a Montanan here in Helena, parents Richard Ziereis and Debbie (Wardell), on October 21, 1985, survived by them, husband Casey, and sister Amy and nephew Kayden, many other friends and family. She had many family members in Wisconsin where her family originated and grandmother in Florida.
Amanda loved to snowmobile in the Lincoln area with her husband, camp with friends and family, and sit around the campfire trying to solve the world’s problems. “Girl’s night” was always special, whether it was doing nails, watching a chick flick, having a glass of wine, laughing, talking, going to Toi’s Tai, or all of the above. She was an honest caring woman full of love and respect for everyone. This world was too cold and uncaring for her tastes. She truly will be missed by all that knew her.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 21st at Retz Funeral Home chapel, 315 E. 6th Ave, Helena, Montana. Please visit below to offer a condolence to the family or to share a memory of Amanda.

Amanda-You had the biggest heart of anyone I knew, you gave and never asked for anything in return. Your beauty was amazing, inside and out. I miss girls nights, shopping, our adventures out of town, and all the laughter we shared even if it was about the silliest thing ever…you were a truly great best friend. Love you and until we can laugh together again, be our precious angel girly. xoxo

I went into shock when I heard the news. I do have so many memories of Amanda and pictures too. Both her and Amy were like my second kids, they spent a lot of time at our house, and vice versa. I can remember when I first met Amanda. She was so shy, and hid behind her bangs, feeling sometimes awkward, but when she smiled, she lit up a room. I knew she was going to grow up to be a beautiful woman, and she did. I will always remember laughing with her and the girls, talks, Halloween, the sleep overs and the dance classes. This one hit so close to home, it has made me so very sad, and reflective of people that we all hold very dear to our hearts. Hugs to you Amy, Debbie, Rick and (I know I have never met you) Casey, I am sending extra hugs your way. Love, Terry Dalton
