Michael “Mike” Flaherty of Dillon, Montana passed away on Wednesday September 28, 2016 at the VA hospital in Helena, Montana.
Mike was born in Green Bay, WI on June 24, 1941 to Michael “Leo” Flaherty and Agnes (Marlborough) Flaherty. He graduated from Denmark High School in 1959.
Mike served in the US Army and US Air Force. He lived several places during his adult life, but always returned to Montana, the place he loved and considered his home.
Mike is survived by his sisters Mary Kempf, of Henderson Nevada, Kathleen (John) Long of Alexandria, Virginia, Ruth (Andy) Pyatskowit of Shawano Wisconsin, and Jane Sorley of Shawano Wisconsin, 5 nephews Danny, Kevin, Ryan, Drew, and Evan, and 5 nieces Kristine, Sarah, Nina, Leah , and Emily, and 14 great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John Flaherty, and sisters Eileen and Anne Flaherty.
A memorial service will be held next summer in Helena, Montana. Date to be determined.
