Patricia Jeanne Evans, 83, was called home February 20, 2013. Pat was born in Los Angeles in 1930 to Ralph and Helen Seymour. She grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana and later attended the University of Denver, where she earned a bachelors in Fine Arts degree. She married the love of her life, Daniel Evans, in 1961. During their 46 years of marriage they lived in Golden and Montrose, Colorado and Billings and Bozeman, Montana. A favorite time for both of them was their year in Cairo, Egypt.
Pat devoted her life to raising her four children, while tapping into her artistic talents as time permitted. She won several awards for her work and taught painting classes when her children were small. Pat later returned to school for a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, and enjoyed working as a group therapist and art therapist. A seeker her whole life, Pat became a Roman Catholic at age 79 and enjoyed her new faith for the last several years of her life.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Evans. She is survived by her children Liz (Fred) LeLacheur of Helena; Ben (Cealita) Evans of Seattle, WA; Dan (Jennifer) Evans of Sugar Land, TX; and Susan (Loren) Simons of Seattle, WA. She was a devoted grandmother to Alexa and Alyssa Simons and Alison and Will Evans.

Ralph and Lynn Youngblood says
We are so sad to lose Pat. She shared her son Dan with us when he came into our family and getting to know her and the Evans family has been an enriching experience for all of us. Personally, we admired Pat’s commitment to the the things she loved and believed in. We’re glad the she and her her Dan were co-grandparents with us to Ali and Will.
We extend our condolences and love to the entire Evans family and are thinking of you.
