Dewey L. Bromfield, age 85 of Helena, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at his home.
He was born on January 3, 1927 in Hemphill, West Virginia to the late Luther J. and Lena E. (Williams) Bromfield.
Dewey enjoyed the outdoors, panning for gold, and fishing. He also enjoyed his other past time playing Keno.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Irene Bromfield, and second wife, Louise Routzahn Bromfield; son Conrad Bromfield, and brother, James Bromfield.
Dewey is survived by his children, Michael Bromfield, Jon Bromfield, Linda Bromfield and Tammy Cook; sister, Margreat Easterling; grandchildren, Konrad Bromfield, Ryan Bromfield, and Taylor Cook; one great-grand daughter, Klohe Bromfield and six step children.

I was really sad to hear of Dewey’s passing. Dewey and Irene will always be my grandparents in my heart. I have very fond memories of him and our many weekends at the cabin in Garnet. He will be missed.

Uncle Dewey was a one of a kind and I have such fond memories that I will always cherish of the times he was able to come visit with us in WV and a summer when he and Aunt Irene was able to spend in Corpus Christi at Grandma and Grandpa’s.
