Edith Woodring went to be with her Lord on April 25, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Marion, in 2003.
Edith lived a life of 87 years in thanksgiving to God for her many blessings. She is survived by her 24 great grandchildren, 11 grandchildren, and 4 children: Noreen Fry of Grand Junction, CO, Della Lewis of Vancouver, WA, Scott Woodring of Hinton, OK, and Marian Nichols of Helena, MT.
Edith treasured her many close friendships formed as an active member of Northeast Christian Church and TOPS #82. When her health needs suddenly increased in 2012, Edith reluctantly moved from her area of residence for 66 years on Colorado’s Western Slope into an ADA compliant home built for her care in Montana by her daughter, Marian and son-in law, Steve. Her favorite expression “I’m so blessed” quickly returned as she made new friends in Christ’s Church and enjoyed the beauty of Big Sky Country from her sitting room.
A Celebration of Life Service was held on May 2nd, 2015 at Retz Funeral Home Chapel in Helena, MT. A Committal Service will be held at Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Grand Junction, CO, on July 6, 2015 at 3:00 p.m.
Donations can be made in Edith’s memory to Northeast Christian Church, 2001 Patterson Rd., Grand Junction, CO 81506 or Christ’s Church, 7125 Bootlegger Dr., Helena, MT 59602.

My sincere condolences to your family during this difficult time. I want to also share a scripture that has strengthened me when I lost loved one. I pray it soothe the pain you are experiencing, and give you strength to continue to cope. Isaiah 41:10 “Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not gaze about, for I am your God. I will fortify you.” For more similar comforting verses, i encourage you to visit the jw.org website.
