Former Helena, Montana resident George McLaughlan, age 78 passed away peacefully on November 16, 2013 in Clancy, Montana after a long battle with Dementia. Mr. McLaughlan was born October 30th 1935 in Bakersfield, California to Francis McLaughlan Sr. and Frances McLaughlan Mr. McLaughlan served in the United States Army, during the Korean War George spent 31 Years in Law Enforcement both in Arizona and Montana George married his wife D’Ete in 1980.
He was a loving husband for 33 years. He is survived by his wife D’Ete and son Frankie. At Mr. McLaughlan’s request there will be no service. Please visit below to offer a condolence to the family or to share a memory of George.

Dee, I worked with George both with MCS (scales) and MCSAP, he helped train me. He was one of a kind and my thoughts are with you. I will never forget the pink sweat pants he wore into the office after he got burned, I still laugh about those to this day.

I will miss my uncle George which was born in Orange County, Ca.; not Bakersfield, Ca. as will his other four sons and two sisters not mentioned in his obituary. I will always remember the fun we had at the 1976 July 4th BIcentennial celebration where he was in charge of the firework program.
