Thomas Denson Justus left this mortal life on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 to be with his sweet wife Schultz Ann who passed last month. Tom was born August 15, 1926 in Gainesville, Georgia, the 9th of 10 children. In his younger years, Tom enjoyed playing basketball and baseball. After high school, Tom was drafted into the Army and served his country in World War II. At the end of his service, he returned home and began working for National Service Industries where he was employed for 46 years.
In 1951, Tom met and married the love of his life Schultz Ann. Tom transferred with the NSI several times living in Virginia, Tennessee, Kansas and Denver, Colorado where he retired from the linen service in1990. Tom and Schultz then moved to Helena to be near their daughter, Shannon, and her family. Tom Loved to play golf and shortly after moving here he landed a job working with Dale Newell at Bill Roberts golf course as the Course Ranger. This gave Tom the opportunity to do what he loved most and that was playing golf. Tom and Schultz Ann spent many hours together on the course and anyone who played at Bill Roberts knew them. Tom loved the outdoors and was an avid bird hunter. He was also a very good tennis player and he enjoyed watching others run around the court chasing his drop shots. Tom was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held several positions within the church.
Tom was a great example to all and was someone who you could always count on. He never judged ones situation or circumstances but instead, was always one that listened and offered assistance whenever possible. He was dependable, reliable and honest. When you asked Tom to do something, you knew that it would get done. He was kind, loving and most of all, generous. He would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it.
Tom, we thank you for the memories and for all the many selfless acts of kindness you performed throughout your life. We love you and will miss you tons but know that you are with your angel whom you love and adore. May God be with you till we meet again.
